This problem starts on the far left side of the North Shelf and traverses right for about 60 feet. V2 is the ostensible rating given in Benningfield's book, which is probably generous, but is reasonable if you get to the last finishing moves.

The problem starts with a V1 sequence on good edges with bad feet, and then eases up as you pass the tree.  Depending on how contrived you make it, the next 25 feet can either be a virtual walk, or more like V0 - keep your feet off the big ledges if you want to work on a pump.

The traverse ends with a V1/V2 move with a big rock behind you - a pad or spotter is nice here.

Decent fun - and did anyone mention that the trail running past here seems to be perpetually loaded with pretty college girls?

This problem is smack in the middle between the line left of the tree, and the left arete.It is sort of a highball, but is very juggy and not too scary.

Climb out the mini-roof just to the right of the

V0 Corner

, which is just right of a pine tree.

Use the same start for

North Pinch

(on the jug flake left of the tree).  Establish good feet and make a decently large move up to the vertical slot.  It may not be permitting for larger fingers, but I am able to get a 2 finger lock in here.  Move your feet, lock off, and make a large left move to the crimp for

Center Route

. Finish for

Center Route

.  This adds some lock spice to your life.

I am not sure if it was climbed before, as I cleaned and chalked the hold.

This is a highball just left of the big pine tree.If you fall when trying to top out, you will be a hurting unit.

This is another eliminate problem.  Left of the start of

Center Route

are two very small crimps above the traversing crack.  Establish yourself on the crimps and good footholds, and make a large dynamic move to a jug above the crimps.  Cross left to a crimp on the seam, and make a large right move to the second hold of

Center Route

.  The feet are trickier for this problem, but it incorporates small crimps.

A fun highball route that climbs up jugs on the face to a corner higher up.

On the far left side of the North Shelf Block is a pretty easy straight up problem - worthwhile for a warm up.

Start on the jug flake next to the tree.  Establish your feet and cross to the pinch/sloper just under the vertical slot.  Move your feet, lock off, and go straight for the left hand crimp in the middle of the wall.  Finish as for the center route.  There are variations possible for added difficulty (

i.e.

using worse feet). It is an eliminate problem.

I was trying to find harder variations, and I brushed and chalked up the pinch as there was no chalk on it.

This is a sweet dyno problem as seen done by Paul Glover in the movie Front Range Freaks. Start on a polished jug down low on the left side of the wall and jump up to catch the block with one hand. Then top out on some V0-V1 moves.
