This problem is fun and good intro to bouldering on something that is a little taller. Start on the large hold about ten feet right of The Scoop. Work your way up on big holds to an easy top out. The crux is moving to the lip and it involves a long move but with great hands.

General Lee

Super-sharp crimps!   Start on the slab/rock and get close to the slightly overhanging short face, grab some sharp crimps and climb the relatively uninteresting face trending right up to slopers for the top out.   This climb routinely stumps climbers solid at the grade. This climb is not beta intensive, it just has wierdness that results in pulling hard and going up.

This problem climbs a crack that splits a 45-degree overhung wall on small island in a pond. Start with both hands low in the crack and make a hard move to a juggy fingerlock. Set your feet, maybe pause on a poor intermediate, and jump to a crystally ball on the lip of the boulder, then press it out. Short, powerful, and aesthetic.

This is the blunt arete to the right of lumberjack. The stand went back in the day of "Rio" and felt V8. A few years back Vasya did the sit. Start on a small  pinch with your right and your left on a side pull, stand up into a very powerful under cling and slap right hand to a good side pull muckle your feet and body up squeezing so water comes out of the rock. The climb feels like 2 stacked V8s to me but really needs more opinions

Start in the stripped flakes on next to the left arete on the back side of the boulder. Make a crux first move than climb easier ground to the top. This problem isn't splendid but worth a go it you are in the area. Walk off to the right of the route.

A  one move wonder. Grab two small crimps. The right one is really thin and a little bit higher up than the left crimp of which is slopey. Grab the holds pull of the ground and shoot for the slopey lip of General Lee. Top out the same for General Lee.

A burly, technical climb.  Start from a sit with some crimps on the face.  Some good footwork and a little luck will get your hands onto the arete above, and some better footwork and more luck will get you onto the slabby top.  The crux is getting established on the slabby topout, but the burly start and the slab above are not to be taken lightly.  Super fun!

Start on the undercling sitting, and move up and left to grab the sloping lip. Hope it feels good, because there are more slopers coming. Follow the sloping lip left and find the wierd sloper on the fin on the top out, mantle up to the rounded fin.   The whole time I'm on this climb (short as it might be) I am having so much fun hanging onto these slopers, don't try to skip the moves, enjoy them!

The boulders around the Scoop Area are slightly spread out and hold the classic General Lee, The Scoop, Lumberjack, and the Next Message.  Located near the marsh at the back end of Blair Woods, there is a hidden trail behind the Scoop Boulder that leads to further boulders.  While most of the problems are on the easy side, there is still plenty to do for those that are pulling hard.
