This route is much better than it looks from the ground. It has a bouldery crux leaving the ledge by the 4th bolt.  The hardest move is the 5th clip.  It is much easier to skip the clip and go for the jug, but if you miss, you will hit the ledge.  There is another hard move after that jug.  Well bolted, even has one last bolt to protect the mantle to the anchor.

" if you don't feel like leading it.

This climb is not very good and there are certainly better, easy, trad routes at Table Mountain.  It is only good to do if you are trying to climb as many Table Mountain routes as possible or are crazy.  The rock is not great and there is vegetation on the climb.  The crux seems to be near the top and I did not see the fixed pin mentioned in the Hass and Shneider guide book.  There are lots of cracks to build an anchor with at the top.

face at left fringe of the Hot Spot area near the Winterfest Wall. I like this route better than the quality ratings in the guidebooks would indicate.

Follow rounded holds on the right side of the arete up to the ledge below the roof or up the left side of the arete transitioning to a short slab on thin exfoliation holds to the same ledge.  Clip the bolt under the roof with a long draw or runner to avoid rope drag above and take the wild swing out right and mantel up on to the slab (5.9) or crank straight over the roof (5.11a).  Good footwork will pay high dividends on the roof move. In either case, finish up the easier arete above on thin face holds to the anchors (#154 in Hubbel, #28 in Rolofson).

Climb up to a pedestal and into a nice hand/finger crack.  Initially awkward moves lead to nice edges and jams.  The crack becomes wide at the top and gear becomes sparse, but a few easy moves find you at the anchor for

The Gold Shut Route

This short climb packs a lot of fun into a little package.  Except for the scramble at the bottom, the climbing is varied, sustained, and clean.  Stem up the dihedral and follow the steep crack to the anchor.

Climb

Nine To Five

, 5.9, with 6 bolts.  Continue up and left slightly on a bulging face that looks steeper than it climbs.  There are big holds and good rests as you clip 5 bolts.  The anchor sits at the level of the ledge from which you belay.  It makes for an awkward position if you must belay someone heavier than you, so be prepared.  Rap the route.

. A cramped corner system leads into a nice clean, but all too short, finger crack. Interesting moves on solid rock. The first bolt on Nine to Five had the interesting habit of disappearing from the route until was cemented in place by Alan a few years back. A good and well-protected route.

I am surprised this route wasn't in the database! I originally did this route in '95, so I should defer to more recent sends for more accurate information.

After getting established past the sketchy start, fun gymnastic moves get you to the anchors. 6 bolts (c. '95).

Located on the same face as

Widespread Shelfishness

on the left side, this is about 100' left of the

Nine to Five

arete. This is my favorite route at Table.  You can start directly under the first bolt on a small buttress with a thin, balancy, face move (10b/c?) or you can do the crack to the right which is easier.  If you can't reach the bolt from the top of the small buttress, slot a stopper or two behind the flake at your knees.  Pull through the sustained crux on thin edges and up to good holds on a horizontal ledge.  Head on up the steep jug haul to the anchors.  Lower to ground, repeat. (It is route #152 in Hubbel, #29 in Rolofson.)

This route does not deserve a star but is not so bad as to merit a bomb.  Easy climbing leads to a splitter off-fingers crack in a hanging dihedral. This section is easy to stem.  When the crack ends, place good pro and prepare to move into a area of crumbly, loose rock.  Pro can be found here but is suspect due to the crappy rock and thus it merits a PG-13 rating.  Another crack, in better rock appears just before a good ledge on which you can traverse to the anchors.

This little gem lies immediately right of

Nine To Five

and poses an interesting technical problem. The route can be done as left and right variations with some variance in grade. This is a good problem and always worth a burn.

This route climbs the left-facing corner with a wide crack between

Five to One

and

Nine to Five

. It looks easier than it is, and makes for a good warm up before doing harder routes in the area.

This route offers fun climbing at a bit harder grade than its neighbor.
