The bouldering problem starts with a left hand jug and a right hand pinch. Intended beta is to then heel hook to the left, adjust left hand positioning into a side pull, and reach for the left side tip of the rock. From there, transition right hand from a pinch to a push and summit.

The Awakening

Start off on slopey bulgy face holds to gain the crack. Once you gain the crack, climb it. Starts will little to no feet, pulling through will be rewarded with a nice hand jam. Keep cruising using your off width technique and some chimneying. This thing showed no sign of travel. The route is a little dirty and will benefit from more traffic.

A fun jug hop and crimp crawl through various features.  May as well do it while you have the anchors set up for Groovy Crack.

A tricky start (just getting off the ground) is followed by easy chimney then easier low angle jamming above. Getting off the ground took me some time to figure out, it turned out the solution was far more simple than I had been trying. Give it a go!

Walk off out right to a lower ledge and rap off Groovy Crack.

A good route that is harder than it looks. Climb up a brief thinner move to access the good holds and a crack and start up to the juggy concave area, where a stemming crux with off-angle holds guards an easier and secure jamcrack above. Finish on great jams then move right to clip the bolts-and-chain anchor.

Double Cracks

is located on the north end of the formation.  It starts off with two parallel, strenuous, steep and slippery finger cracks.  After this the angle eases and some stemming and jamming with a hand hold thrown in here and there gets one to the top.

Another outstanding City of Rocks mixed line. Predominantly a bit overhanging, this route follows an awesome 5.10ish crack spotted with faceholds to quartz dike & a traverse left to a bolt (crux). Head up the easy slab to a horizontal & build a belay with finger-sized pieces.
